I have explored
the website of European Early Childhood Education Research Association (EECERA)
this week to understand more research topics in early childhood this week.
EECERA
seeks to sustain and develop the rich tradition of European early childhood
thought, the legacy of Pestalozzi, Owen, Froebel, Steiner, Vygotsky, Piaget,
Malaguzzi and other pioneers, whilst looking forward to encourage the
exploration of new paradigms, methodologies, concepts and applications in the
ever-changing context of early childhood studies. Its reach and interest is
resolutely international and, whilst wanting to identify with Europe’s
pluralist and diverse cultures, it is open to learn of, and to share in, the equally
rich early childhood traditions and concepts of the World.
From Volume 23, issue 2, 2015, its journal European
Early Childhood Education Research Journal, their interested research topics
including children’s cognitive development, Using ICT in early childhood
education, Cultural learning, teaching and learning in outdoor activities etc.
The journal content is quite diverse in different areas.
I thought it focused on European early childhood
field, but surprisingly, it is quite international. It is also have contacts in
China that I can continue to work with.
